Tasting Bridge Road’s Nitro Fruit Salad Sour

🍻 What Makes a Nitro Sour Special?

Most beers are carbonated with CO₂, but nitro beers use nitrogen, giving them a softer, creamier mouthfeel with a thicker head. This fruit-forward sour is extra silky and smooth, making it dangerously easy to drink.

🍊 Flavour Profile – A True Fruit Salad in a Glass

Expect a juicy explosion of tropical fruits:
Passionfruit – The dominant flavour, adding tangy brightness.
Mango – Smooth and slightly sweet.
Pineapple – A hint of zest, especially in the skin-like notes.

This beer is refreshing, slightly tart, and incredibly well-balanced, with no overpowering acidity.

🍺 Why Nitro Sours Are Rare

Bridge Road Brewers, based in Beechworth, Victoria, is one of the few breweries making nitro sours. These beers don’t often leave the brewery, but thanks to our nitro tap setup, we were able to get a keg – and it was well worth it!

🍻 Final Thoughts

This is easily our top pick from Bridge Road’s tap takeover – smooth, tropical, and insanely drinkable. If you ever see a nitro sour on tap, don’t miss your chance to try it!
